Make the Changes that You Want

There are so many cool and great ways to improve our life. So many great ideas out there of how to change things in our daily life to be more healthy and productive!

So many ideas that it can sometimes get overwhelming!!!

Do you have a mind full of inspirational ideas waiting to be put into practice? Do you have a to-do list a mile long of things that just never get done?

I know I do!

A beautiful reader and friend of our site recently shared what she is doing this year to implement changes, and how it is working absolutely beautifully in her home.

She made a new years resolution in a way that guaranteed she would continue through the year and make multiple changes that she had been wanting to do for a long time. Her idea is simple and easy to follow.

It can be applied to every area of life - no matter what type of changes you are looking to make.

Instead of me telling you in my words, I would rather have you read Lisa's idea in her own words .. she writes honestly and her story inspired me and also made me laugh. Thank you Lisa!

How Grounded Are You?

I talk about this and variations of this topic often. It comes up often in these e-zines. The reason for this is that I feel that this is vitally important to health. And it is something that every single person has access to - none of this costs money.

What does it mean to feel grounded? It means feeling:

  • Clear

  • Focused

  • Centred

  • Energized

  • Nourished
  • Connected

  • Balanced

  • In Tune

  • Strong

Sitting with Nature

Sounds great, doesn't it? But if you often don't feel this way the below tips are for you.

How do you ground yourself?

  • Eat locally to where you live, eat nutrient rich whole foods

  • Get sunshine on your naked body (no sunglasses, glasses, contacts, creams, lotions, make-up…)

  • Walk barefoot on the Earth

  • Touch and feel trees, grass, plants…

  • Keep your spine straight so energy can flow easily
  • Breathe deeply

  • Stretch and move your body in a variety of ways

  • Meditate

  • Avoid junky foods and non-foods
  • Be connected and loving towards other living things
  • Avoid overly negative, aggressive or violent people, stories, videos...
  • Spend time away from electronics and in Nature

Don't wait, don't contemplate .. just do it!!

Recipe - Golden Macaroons

I encourage you to get in your kitchen and play. This recipe was created simply because I had some leftover ingredients from another recipe and wanted to use them up. What happened was one of the most divine sweet treats I have ever made!

Coconut Macaroons

INGREDIENTS

Mix melted cacao butter and honey together in a bowl (add just enough sweetener for your liking - I don't like this too sweet). Mix well with a spoon until the two ingredients are combined nicely.

Add shredded coconut to this mixture, a little at a time and keep adding and mixing until you have a consistency that is easy to work with.

Form into balls, place on a plate and put in the fridge to set.

Enjoy!!!
